If you ever, for any purpose, want an excerpt of text that was written by someone in a state of extreme exhaustion then I am writing this down to inform you that this is it! It's a premium sample, authentic, concise and charming.

one flower drops a petal before it starts to wilt

one girl sees it settle in orange colored silt

One ray of sunlight shines through nearly naked trees

One autumn wind whines faint apologies

Above me the stars spin into the horizon and the first rays of sunlight break through the leaves. Moments ago they were all black – outlined by a glowing sliver of the moon. The color of the leaves are unreal, like the not quite orange of a flaming match head. I think of all the different leaves. All of them have the same shape yet none of them are identical, just like that thing they say about snowflakes.
Snowflakes.

this was written a while ago. I'm posting it just for the sake of changing my profile page a little bit.

_______________________________

trudging through streets paved in patina
they've been aged by more feet than an ancient arena
and the spring time snarls like a caged hyena-
making my way past the plastic home of Selina
like a dollar store comb that I chose not to afford-
a dime is much better spent on the hungry that call out to the lord

same old songs spill out of each pub
and every last patron
has the priciest drink in his mug
designer name suits that fit way too snug
invigorate ostentation like some kind of drug

crimson wine slowly crawling out of a glass
in a place only dreams could ever surpass
the final stop for fleeting elation
mouths getting stained to the point of sedation

the winds are so fierce they bend light like distortions in space
and the moon could pierce any man's heart with its face

from the heavy air I get superpowers
shrinking the town by turning right every few hours
passing this same bed of flowers
that the season slowly devours with all of its rain

tonight I carry a vibrant desire with me
and it's written all over my eyes for these people to see
my only disguise is the stench of tobacco
rolling off of my clothes
just a wandering smoker that nobody knows

a smile from the crowd
stands out like a bouquet's only rose
but I've already passed it
when I wonder why it's me that it chose

I've been able to upload a few drawings/doodles thanks to Darienlives and his awesome camera. The lighting wasn't too good when we took these, but it's not a big deal. I've also decided not to put too much effort into cropping these & adjusting the color, because I don't really want them to work as stand alone images. I liked looking at these photos and getting the feeling that even though my doodle is on the screen I feel like I can reach out and hold it. I also have a couple of paintings that I'm going to upload soon, but those DO need to be cropped & slightly tweeked. Thanks Darien!
